“Robo War” Fight Night Held in Detroit, Michigan
Spectators gathered in Detroit this weekend to see a unique new live event, as the first “Robo War” by the Interactive Combat League took place.
The sold-out event featured fights between “Iron Gladiators”, consisting of humans in large 9-foot-tall suits, who battled against each other inside a ring in northwest Detroit known as the “Xsos War Cube”.
Two sets of fights took place, each consisting of three rounds. The first battle featured a Los Angeles vs. Phoenix fight, and the second an Atlanta vs. Detroit fight. Los Angeles prevailed in the first fight, and Detroit triumphed in the second.
The event showed off robotic technology to the crowd, including a pair of Unitree G1 humanoid robots and a dog-like four-legged robot. These moved about outside the ring, giving spectators a close-up view of the tech.
The ICL has more planned this summer, with another fight scheduled at the venue next month on August 16th.
