Protesters Take to Overpass Above I-75 in Lincoln Park, Michigan in Opposition to ICE
Protesters took to an overpass above I-75 in Lincoln Park, Michigan Friday afternoon to demonstrate against ICE.
Demonstrators spelled out messages reading “ICE Out For Good” and “End The ICE Age”, and faced both northbound and southbound traffic from the Champaign Road overpass.
The protest, dubbed a “Visibility Bridge Brigade” and organized by Indivisible: Downriver United 734, was one of many held across the U.S. in recent weeks against ICE in the wake of the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis.
A description for the event stated “We’ll be standing together for democracy, accountability, and a future that works for all of us.”
