Candlelight Vigil Held to Honor Charlie Kirk in Dublin, Ohio

Several hundred gathered in Dublin, Ohio on Sunday evening for a candlelight vigil honoring Charlie Kirk.

The event, organized by the Ohio College Republicans Federation alongside the Ohio Republican Party and Ohio Young Republicans, featured remarks, singing, and a lighting of candles after sunset in honor of Kirk. The vigil was held at the Coffman Park amphitheater in Dublin, with the crowd filling the venue and extending outward past a line of trees and into an adjacent parking lot.

Speakers at the vigil included Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Senator Jon Husted, and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Yost led the crowd in singing “Amazing Grace” as mourners held candles in the amphitheater.

The vigil is one of many that have taken place around the country in the wake of Kirk’s assassination Wednesday during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
